My husband doesn’t like throwing away our iPhone/watch boxes. I didn’t throw them away. I made them pretty and functional.
I used images from retired textbooks and spray paint to decorate them.
I was able to get the inner mold out with a knife.

Modge Podge
Step 1
If using an iPhone remove the inner mold with a knife.
Step 2
Spray paint boxes. Allow drying.
Step 3
Use Modge Podge to attach images to the box. Allow drying.
