DIY Harry Potter House Scarf Earrings

My passion for reading was ignited by the beloved Harry Potter series, which I revisited in preparation for a trip with my girlfriends to Universal Studios Orlando. As a dedicated fan of the wizarding world, I crafted these delightful DIY Harry Potter House scarf earrings. Whether you’re planning a Harry Potter-themed extravaganza or simply embracing your inner nerd at home, I hope these earrings inspire you to create something magical.

Initially, I attempted to crochet the thread using a tiny crochet hook, but it was a fail. I took a trip down memory lane and tried my hand at creating friendship bracelets in the flat style, just like I did at Bible camp. To my delight, my creation came out perfectly! These bracelets are not only easy to make, but also small and elegant, making them a perfect choice for anyone looking to make their own accessories.

Unleash your creativity with this amazing craft that offers an array of thread colors at an affordable price. You have the power to design your house scarf, whether it’s a classic Slytherin with its green and silver, Gryffindor with maroon and gold, Ravenclaw with blue and copper, or Hufflepuff with yellow and black.

Supplies Needed
To create this project, you will require thread in the colors you want to use and earrings with loops at the bottom, which can be found in the craft aisle.

Step one
Take two feet of each color.

Step two
To create tassels, fold the material in half and tie a knot about a quarter of an inch from the end of the loop. Ensure that the loop is the desired size for the tassels before cutting it.

Step three
To complete this step, create a square knot using hemp style. If you’re unfamiliar with the process, you can refer to this tutorial for guidance.

Step four
Once you have completed an inch of it, move the earring up one color and keep working until it reaches the same length as the portion you have already finished.

Step five
Tie a knot and trim the thread to the same length as the opposite side to create tassels.

Are they not adorable?

I used them as gifts for my friends that were going to Universal with me.
