Easy Button Necklace

Buttons are just fun! You can find buttons in all shapes, sizes, and colors. This button necklace can be a nice way to use colors you don’t normally use.

Buttons can be found in a variety of places. I would check with your family before you go buy a ton. I have noticed the dollar tree has started selling little jars of assorted buttons. Wherever you get your buttons from this project will result in a simple and fun way to wear them.

Materials

Fishing line

Buttons

Beads

I made my necklace long enough to pull over my head so no fasteners were needed.

Step 1

Measure out two pieces of fishing line slightly longer than what you want your necklace to be.

Step 2

Tie a knot with enough room at the end to tie the necklace together.

Step 3

Decide on a pattern based on how many buttons and beads you have. I used the wide face of the buttons.

Step 4

Let’s assume you are doing three beads and then a button. Slide the three beads onto the string.

Step 5

Separate the two pieces of fishing line.

Step 6

String one piece of the line through the bottom hole of the button.

Step 7

String the other piece the opposite way through the same hole.

Step 8

Repeat with the top hole.

Step 9

Add your three beads again

Step 10

repeat the same process with the button.

Step 11

Continue until you have reached the desired length. Tie a knot using the two ends.
