No Sew Pokémon Halloween Costumes

My sons wanted to be Pokemon for Halloween. I opened Amazon and checked out what they had. I noticed the costumes were pretty simple. They were mostly one color and had most of the features on a hood. They were also around $30. I had previously sewn halloween costumes onto a hoodie. I thought that it might be nice to make a sweat suit into a halloween costume. It would be warmer and they could wear them when it wasn’t Halloween. And they have!

I ordered sweatpants and a hoodie off of Amazon. The colors worked perfectly. I used felt for the stomach, tales, and faces.

I used pictures of squirtle and Charmander to make the chest pieces. I was going to use several pieces to make the eyes but I decided to just use permanent markers to color in the eyes. I used hot glue to put all the pieces in place.

I did not take pictures when I originally when the costumes together. These pics were taken a year later and after a lot of love. The squirtle costume has actually been through the washing machine and survived.

The longest part of the project was cutting out the felt pieces. It took me less than an hour to put the costumes together. The boys got tons of comments when we went out.
