In Plano there is a cigar bar. They have a huge container of empty cigar boxes. They sell the boxes for $1. They have dozens of different styles. I’ve decided to use them to organize my craft supplies.
Since I’m going to be stacking my boxes, most of them I have just decoupaged.
I have cigar boxes all stacked up in my laundry room windows. Most of them I Modge Podged with fun pictures from magazines and scrapbook paper.
I didn’t do a whole lot to the boxes because they are already so fun.
I use them to store a large variety of items and it has helped me organize in more specific ways. I am still waiting for the day when I don’t have to open several to find something.
I also use them to store kids toys. I have one boxes with tantagrams and another with my son’s tiny lego creations. My favorite box is the one I made for his toy soldiers.
If you have an extra sturdy box you can add paint and embellishments like this jewelry box.
Non-cigar boxes can be flipped as well
