I have always enjoyed steampunk. I love all things old and vintage. I’ve grown up going to Silver Dollar City and it was one of my absolute favorite places. They have a new steampunk roller coaster. When I was visiting over Thanksgiving break I saw steampunk hats for sale at the gift shop and I wanted one.
I had a bunch of gears in my Let’s Resin kit and my mom bought me some top hats at the after Halloween Walgreen sale. My gears started turning as I planned the building of my own hat. Once the gears were out I saw all sorts of things I could make.
This week I will show you how I made several steampunk crafts
1/13 The most important accessory for a steampunk outfit seems to be the top hot. Turning a plain top hat into a steampunk hat is not as hard as it looks.
1/14 DIY steampunk goggles from baby food jars, spray paint, lace, and hot glue.
1/15 I would use any excuse to put a cameo on something. I inserted gears into cameos to make them truly steampunk. When you make your own cameo you can use any colors you want.
1/16 Adding gears to a bracelet chain with jump hoops is a breeze.
1/17 Adding gears to earring hoops is even easier.
1/17 Turn an old traveling case into a steampunk case with spray paint.
1/18 Refashion an ornament with lace, cameos, and gears.
1/19 Use the cameos you made with this awesome chain that runs through gears.
1/20 Add a fun steampunk mock belt buckle to a plain belt.
